Deckades

A great looking exhibition, I am a big fan of the work of Jim Philips.
"For the first time ever, 30 years of Skateboard history comes to Bristol at the Howies and Shiner Gallery Exhibition "Deckades".
Skateboard Deck art has always been hugely influential and collectable to skaters as well as those in creative circles. This exclusive one off exhibition features legendary boards from three decades of skate art that show the incredible creativity that hides underneath the top of every skateboard.
Uniquely the show also features brand new artwork from none other than the iconic Jim Phillips. Pete Fowler, Geoff McFetridge, French and Kev Grey are exhibiting as well as well as Jago, China Mike, Gav Strange and a host of others who have kindly donated a board each to be auctioned for UNICEF.
The Deckades skateboard deck exhibition starts on the 17th April and runs for a month. You can see all the boards at the Howies Gallery which is at 62 Queens Road Bristol."
